Mauritius is a lovely island.
The beauty, the climate, the people–so
warm and gracious. Its population is about
1,200,000. It lies in the Indian Ocean east
of Madagascar and is 2000 kilometers to the
south-eastern coast of Africa.
This is a land of subtropical forests, rivers,
streams and waterfalls, mountain peaks and
gorgeous coastline.
Cultures, Traditions
and Peaceful Harmony Flourish in Mauritius
But the real richness of Mauritius lies in
the diversity of its people whose origins
are from Africa, India, China and Europe.
This is a republic with a multi-racial society
where the various cultures and traditions
flourish in peace and harmony. Mauritius is
often cited as a perfect example of peaceful
co-existing of the main religions of the world.
Charlotte was a consultant to the Prime Minister
and conducted Executive Presentation seminars
for the senior managers of the State Bank
and Air Mauritius, the national airline.
